  • Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on improving core strength, flexibility and overall body awareness and strength. It was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century and has since gained popularity worldwide. The Pilates method emphasizes controlled and precise movements, breathing techniques and alignment of the bodily joints.  Pilates is a form of cross-training and it is most beneficial when added to your existing exercise regime.

  • Women, men, athletes, pre/post-natal women, young and the elderly, the flexible and inflexible. The fit and not so fit. Anyone wanting to improve their core strength, posture, coordination, and balance. Those who want to stay injury and pain-free. Pre/post-joint replacement. Pilates is for anybody and everybody!

  • Mixed equipment classes go beyond just the Reformer by also using Chair, Tower, and Mat exercises to challenge the body in new ways, targeting different muscles, improving balance, and keeping workouts varied and effective.

  • It is recommended that you start with our Forme I (foundation) classes when starting your Pilates journey.

  • Group equipment classes are for max 6 people. In these classes you will have the opportunity to work on equipment like the Pilates Chair, Tower/Cadillac and Reformer, subject to the instructors programming.

  • Please wear a pair of grip socks in the studio for hygiene reasons, no shoes are needed. Bring a water bottle, small sweat towel and a wonderful can-do attitude.

  • We have space to store your belongings during class and bathrooms to change in, but no showers. Clean-label toiletries are available for a quick refresh if required.

  • No, specialised grip socks are compulsory. This is for your own safety, hygiene and to allow for maximum mobility in all movements ensuring a safe and effective experience on the equipment. 

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to your class. If it is your first time at the studio we ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to class to ensure you can have a thorough introduction to the equipment.

  • For safety reasons and in order not to disrupt the class in progress, clients arriving more than 5 minutes late will be refused entry. This is at the instructor’s discretion on site to refuse entry beyond the start time if the instructor feels it is unsafe to do so.

  • We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Bookings can be added back to credits or rescheduled before this time period via the app/website. Sessions not rescheduled before this time period are charged in full. The studio has a no-refund policy.

  • All of our class packages, drop in classes, private sessions and retail products are sold as final sale. We do not offer refunds, exchanges or transfers on any services or products sold at our studio.

  • If a class is full you may join the waitlist. To do so you must purchase a class or package. If you do not get a spot in the class the class credit will be returned to your account. If a spot opens you will be added to the class and receive an email confirmation.

  • From time to time, photography or filming may take place in the studio for promotional use. If you’d prefer not to appear, please let your instructor know before class.

    You’re welcome to take personal or social photos, but please do so respectfully and without capturing other clients without their consent.

  • You should always consult your physician before starting any fitness routine. With certain injuries, we may suggest starting with a private session to provide personalised attention and ensure you’re supported by the most suitable instructor. Please make sure to inform your instructor of any injuries before class so we can safely modify movements where possible. For your wellbeing, re:forme reserves the right to decline class entry in cases of injury or other safety concerns
